These terms apply when you use the SimpleFind website and app ("SimpleFind", "we", "us"). SimpleFind is operated by Allan Napier, trading as Codebotiks, 5 Baileyfield Park Drive, Bonnyrigg, EH19 2BF, Scotland. By using SimpleFind you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What SimpleFind is

SimpleFind is a free product search and comparison service. We rank products against the criteria you choose and show a scorecard explaining each ranking. We don't sell anything. When you decide to buy, you go to the retailer's website and buy from them, under their terms and prices.

Our scores and rankings

  • Scores are produced by an AI model from product information such as specifications and descriptions. They're guidance to help you choose, not a guarantee. They can be incomplete or wrong, and retailers' product information can change.
  • Where the evidence is thin, we show "not sure" rather than a number. Always check the details that matter to you (such as sizing, compatibility or safety information) on the retailer's page before you buy.
  • Rankings are never for sale. Commission rates are kept separate from our ranking code and don't affect the order of results. Any sponsored placement we ever show will be clearly labelled and kept out of search rankings.

Prices, stock and retailers

Prices and availability come from retailers and affiliate networks and may be out of date by the time you visit the retailer. The price at the retailer is the one that applies. Some retailers don't let us display their prices, in which case we show a link to check the price. We're not responsible for retailers' products, delivery, returns or customer service. Your purchase contract is with the retailer.

Using SimpleFind fairly

Please don't misuse SimpleFind. In particular, don't:

  • scrape, copy or systematically download our rankings, scores or catalogue, or use them to build a competing service;
  • try to interfere with, overload or gain unauthorised access to SimpleFind or its systems;
  • submit false information, including signing other people up to our waitlist.

Intellectual property

The SimpleFind name, design, software, scores and rankings belong to us. Product names, images and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products.

Availability and changes

SimpleFind is in early development. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use SimpleFind after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Our responsibility to you

We provide SimpleFind with reasonable care and skill. Because it's a free information service and you buy from retailers, we're not liable for losses arising from a purchase you make, from a retailer's actions, or from information supplied by retailers, except where the law says we can't limit our liability. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that can't be excluded under the laws of the United Kingdom, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and the mandatory consumer protection laws of your home nation apply. If you have a problem, please email hello@simplefind.co.uk first and we'll try to sort it out.
